July is the Time for Your Summer Bucket List to Shine
by Gabrielle Martin
If you haven’t already, July is the perfect time to start assembling your summer bucket list; with more or less summer halfway over, take a moment to reflect this month on all you’ve done so far, and what more you want to do before autumn rolls around!
It doesn’t have to be incredibly complicated or expensive, either—in fact, if you’re lacking inspiration, here are some simple, summery things you can add to your bucket list:
- Go camping—even if it’s just in your backyard!
There’s something to special about making dinner over the fire and sleeping under the stars that always makes me feel like a kid again, and I’m pretty sure it’s good for the soul.
- Picnic at the park.
Easy peasy! If you’re balling on a budget, you can bring your own lunch and make a day of it.
Feeling like something special? Get take out and bring it with you somewhere scenic!
- Take a day trip somewhere you’ve never been before.
Pick somewhere within driving distance and hit the highway! You’ll get fun and feel of vacation without having to take any time off of work.
- Visit your local farmers’ market.Purchase some fresh in-season fruits and vegetables, maybe a little artisanal bread and cheese, and finish off with flowers for your table— make a morning, and then a meal, out of it!
Worried you can’t commit to a list of activities (however fun they may be) and you'll wind up feeling disappointed? Remember, teamwork makes the dream work! Go in on it with a friend: make a list together, and tackle each item together. You’ll be more motivated to make the most of your summertime with someone else holding you accountable (and vice-versa), which will leave you feeling sublime.
And of course, if you’re wearing your Life is Great Apparel, you’re certain to be bringing style to the table as you get to work on turning items on your summer bucket list into memories!
